Flat floor on RV Slide Outs

Question: I am in the market for a used 5th wheel. I found one that has a slide out. Unlike most, this one does NOT have the hump (trip hazard) once the slide is out. Is this a good design or just another thing to go wrong? Thanks.

Answer: We are posting your question in the hopes that you may receive comments from other RVers. We have a motorhome, our slide out floor is not really visible because the front of the couch and kitchen cabinets make up the front of the slide. So even though the couch is set on a raised platform, this "hump" is not even visible to anyone looking at it - and so not a trip hazard.

We have seen plenty of slides with flat floors, so we are unaware of any problem. But let's see if we get some other opinions.
