Guadalajara Grill:
Best Salsa in Tucson

We visited the Guadalajara Grill about a month ago, when my wife and I were in the mood for some Mexican food. We had heard from a mutual friend about this wonderful Mexican restaurant, where the food is good and the Salsa is wonderful. We looked up the restaurant on the internet and found that it was rated as the most popular restaurant in Tucson. We had read that the restaurant is crowded on the weekends and that the service gets slow so we went mid-week and had an early dinner.

One unique thing about the restaurant is that the Salsa is made fresh at your table. Well, that convinced us to go there and sample their food. We were not disappointed. The Salsa was great, probably the best Salsa I have ever had. The ingredients were fresh and they modified the Salsa to our taste. The Salsa is so good that I would recommend going to the restaurant for the Salsa alone.

For dinner, we ordered the Molcajete Shrimp, which comes served in a hollowed out volcanic rock, bowl. Our other dish was and order of Carne Asada Angelina. Our dinners came without delay and the food was delicious. We were also serenaded by a three-piece Mariachi band. Unfortunately, because of the acoustics in the dining room, they sounded loud for our taste. However, we would highly recommend this restaurant during mid-week or on the weekend if you can make a reservation ahead of time.

Here are the details:

Buen Appetito!

Rob
