Will the new flat screen TVs run on inverter power?

by Harlan
(Hutchinson, MN)

Question: I am looking at purchasing a new TV for the RV and I am wondering if they work on the square sine wave converter that I use? None of the sales associates at the TV stores seem to be definite on their answers.
Answer: We suggest you contact the TV manufacturer (and get the response in writing - i.e. email). In the past when we considered a specific TV upgrade, we contacted the manufacturer to inquire about a specific model. The manufacturers' technical staff should be able to answer the question.
