Tie Down RV

Question: I have a 35 foot fifth wheel. It is properly leveled on wooden blocks. Is it necessary for it to be tied down? The RV sits on a concrete slab.

Answer: We don’t know of any reason to tie down a fifth wheel that is only temporarily in a campground.

However, if the fifth wheel is in a permanent park location for an extended period of time, there may be local ordinances that apply. If you are permanently placing the fifth wheel, check with the campground management regarding any specific local rules or ordinances.
