We are looking to fill Host Campground positions for the 2019 season in the Hiawatha National Forest Campgrounds.

You must love people and the outdoors and have be able to work without much supervision. The campgrounds are owned by the Federal Forest, and we operate under a permit. Four campgrounds have electricity and two do not. We supply a golf cart, a place to park your camper, hook up if available, and monthly salary. Sun and Fun is also included.

You must clean up the sites after campers leave, mow grass, collect the money from the self-pay station, keep records, post reservations, clean bathrooms and help the visitors.

The amount of hours vary depending on the time of year and which campground. We try to place people based on what they what to do and how busy they want to be.

Bay View is located on Lake Superior on one of the Great Lakes. It does not have utilities. It has 4 vault toilets and very little grass to mow. 24 sites. We provide solar panels and a generator for you to use at this location.

Monocle Lake is on a inland lake it has water and electricity. It has 8 vault toilets and not a lot of grass to mow. 42 sites. Good boating and fishing.

Soldier Lake does not have electricity. It has 12 vault toilets. It has a lot of grass to mow. 45 sites. we provide solar panel and a generator for you to use at this location. It does have water that is pumped buy a solar well.

Lake Michigan is on a Great Lake, 8 vault toilets and fair amount of grass. 33 sites.

Carp River has 4 vault toilets, water and electricity , fair amount of grass, 24 sites and it is on a good fishing river.

Brevoort Lake is a large inland lake with good fishing and boating. We try to keep 2 host at this location. Water, electricity on both and one has sewer hook up also. It has flush bathrooms and 70 sites, a large amount of grass to mow.

We are open from May to Oct 15.

Days off are depending on the campground and the time of year. You will learn your campground and know when you can take off for the entire day. We would like you at the campground on the weekends and Holidays. If you need several days off in a row we will work with you to fill those days. A few hours at time is never a problem. You are your own Boss.
