City Water Overfilling Fresh Water Tank
by Matthew (Perkins, OK)
Question: My camper is acting weird. My city water is filling my fresh water tank up and it is leaking out of my fresh water filler hose and running down the side of my trailer. I know it’s not supposed to do that – how can I stop it from continuing?
Answer: We can only guess that you need to change the fresh water fill switch so that the city water is sourcing your RV and not trying to fill the tank.
Your RV should have a valve that you open to fill the tank and close when the tank is full. If you have closed the valve and the tank is overfilling, then it seems you have a bad valve that needs to be replaced or repaired.
