Canned Goods in Slideout Storage
by Taras (Courtice, ON)
Question: I have 2 storage seats in my slideout. If I load them with canned goods, would that cause a problem for my slideout?
Answer: Probably not, but to be safe you can check your owners manual and call the manufacturer to see if they have any cautions on maximum weight to be loaded in those storage compartments.
Consider if it would suit your needs to fill the space partly with canned goods and partly with other bulky, but lighter items.
And common sense should prevail. If you load up the storage areas with canned goods and there is any apparent change or stress noticed in the slide-out operation, it might be better to use those compartments for lighter dry food, extra paper goods, etc.
Other opinions welcome.
