How to see the Badlands

It’s best to see the Badlands at sunrise and twilight to appreciate their beauty in these two different lights. We drove the 240 loop, hiked the trails and saw plenty of wildlife.

Black Hills Full of Things to Do

If you can’t find something to do in the Black Hills of South Dakota, you aren’t looking very hard. We spent three weeks and only scratched the surface.

Bryce: Land of the Hoodoos

At Bryce National Park, we stayed at a nearby RV Park in Utah and explored the magical hoodoos. We took two moderately strenuous hikes and saw the many overlooks along the Scenic Drive

Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park. We could have spent weeks exploring the magnificent views, trails and lakes. Took a memorable hike and drove the famous Going to the Sun Road.

Elkhart Indiana: RV Capital

Elkhart Indiana: Don’t miss the RV factory tours and excellent RV Museum. And nearby is Amish countryside.

RV to Chocolate Town: Hershey PA

RV to Hershey. Chocolate is definitely the focal point. Scenic countryside and proximity to Lancaster and Gettysburg make for great RV travel in Pennsylvania.

Custer State Park

This park is must see in the Black Hills. Custer State Park offers fishing, hiking, horseback riding, scenic drives, wildlife, chuckwagons, swimming, boating and camping.

Deadwood: Good time in Old West

Deadwood is a good place to relive the old west. Dig out your cowboy boots and stroll around town. We found free things to do and a variety of attractions in our South Dakota RV travels.

El Golfo de Santa Clara, Mexico

El Golfo de Santa Clara was the first stop on our first foray into Mexico by RV. We went simply because there was an RPI RV Park located there – and had a great time.

Florida RV Trip

Fredericksburg and Texas Hill Country

Fredericksburg Texas makes for a worthwhile stop. german heritage amidst Texas Hill Country. Dance in Luckenbach, visit LBJ Ranch. Wildflowers, peaches, lavender, wineries. We enjoyed our visit.

Georgia RV Travel

Our Georgia RV travel started with a visit to Jekyll Island, then on to Perry for the FMCA Convention. Great entertainment at RV rallies and side trips to Tybee Island and Savannah.

Hiking Superstition Mountains & Area

We enjoyed hiking Superstition Mountains near Apache Junction Arizona. We also hiked around Usery and Saguaro Lake, Flat Iron, Weaver’s Needle, Lost Dutchman State Park.

Hot Springs Things to Do

Hot Springs is great for RV travel. The history and traditions of Bathhouse Row, hiking trails, McClard’s BBQ, Garvan Woodland Gardens and taking the baths.

Mexico RV Travel: Kino Bay

We really liked Kino Bay. RV site with great ocean view, fascinating pelicans, shore birds, plenty of seashells and a sense of the real Mexico in Kino Viejo.

Lake Powell RV Travel

Our Lake Powell visit included a trip to Rainbow Bridge National Monument, a hike in Antelope canyon and a tour of the Glen Canyon Dam.

Medora North Dakota

Medora ND is a charming town, well worth a visit whether you are passing through the area or vacationing in nearby Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

Our RV travel took us to three RV parks off Route 101 from Seaside to Pacific City, Tillamook, Newport and Florence. The magnificent views of the Oregon coast merit a leisurely pace.

Prince Edward Island

Blue skies and red clay. Maritimes, music and mussels. The RV trip to Prince Edward Island is one we will make again.

How do you know where to find Quartzsite BLM dry camping? Many RVers trek to Quartzsite AZ to boondock in the desert. The BLM areas can be found surrounding the four corners of Quartzsite.
