It’s best to see the Badlands at sunrise and twilight to appreciate their beauty in these two different lights. We drove the 240 loop, hiked the trails and saw plenty of wildlife.

El Golfo de Santa Clara was the first stop on our first foray into Mexico by RV. We went simply because there was an RPI RV Park located there – and had a great time.

Fredericksburg Texas makes for a worthwhile stop. german heritage amidst Texas Hill Country. Dance in Luckenbach, visit LBJ Ranch. Wildflowers, peaches, lavender, wineries. We enjoyed our visit.

Our Georgia RV travel started with a visit to Jekyll Island, then on to Perry for the FMCA Convention. Great entertainment at RV rallies and side trips to Tybee Island and Savannah.

Nearby Gettysburg camping perfect for visiting the famous Battlefield, National Cemetary and other historic sights.

Glacier National Park. We could have spent weeks exploring the magnificent views, trails and lakes. Took a memorable hike and drove the famous Going to the Sun Road.

Elkhart Indiana: Don’t miss the RV factory tours and excellent RV Museum. And nearby is Amish countryside.

Hiker Happy visited Your RV Lifestyle to go hiking and RV fulltiming. Our 2-foot tall pal, hilarious pics, a Happy Camper, it’s a hoot.

RV to Hershey. Chocolate is definitely the focal point. Scenic countryside and proximity to Lancaster and Gettysburg make for great RV travel in Pennsylvania.

This park is must see in the Black Hills. Custer State Park offers fishing, hiking, horseback riding, scenic drives, wildlife, chuckwagons, swimming, boating and camping.

Deadwood is a good place to relive the old west. Dig out your cowboy boots and stroll around town. We found free things to do and a variety of attractions in our South Dakota RV travels.

Stop in Mitchell SD to see the famous Corn Palace and Cabela’s. The Corn Stampede Rodeo and parade are a good time to visit

Monticello was a great day trip from the Lynchburg Thousand Trails RV Park . Fascinating Thomas Jefferson, views of the Shenandoah hills, a trip along Skyline Drive.

We enjoyed hiking Superstition Mountains near Apache Junction Arizona. We also hiked around Usery and Saguaro Lake, Flat Iron, Weaver’s Needle, Lost Dutchman State Park.

Hot Springs is great for RV travel. The history and traditions of Bathhouse Row, hiking trails, McClard’s BBQ, Garvan Woodland Gardens and taking the baths.

We really liked Kino Bay. RV site with great ocean view, fascinating pelicans, shore birds, plenty of seashells and a sense of the real Mexico in Kino Viejo.

Our Lake Powell visit included a trip to Rainbow Bridge National Monument, a hike in Antelope canyon and a tour of the Glen Canyon Dam.

Medora ND is a charming town, well worth a visit whether you are passing through the area or vacationing in nearby Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

The cliff dwellings were a sight we didn’t want to miss. Mesa Verde RV Resort was a good base for exploring the Mesa Verde National Park, Durango, San Juan Skyway… and had a cozy atmosphere.

We started the preparation for our Mexico RV trip with two steps. We bought Mexico insurance and the Mexican camping book, and we set off for San Carlos, Kino Bay, El Golfo and Rocky Point…

Mount Rushmore showcases great faces in a majestic setting. This National Park is a favorite South Dakota RV travel stop. We spent a half-day, and returned for the evening lighting ceremony.

Our New Mexico RV trip included Route 66 from Gallup to Acoma to Albuquerque, up to Santa Fe. And Hike got back on the trails.

We visited the barrier island beaches in our North Carolina RV travels. A stop in Pinehurst, Beaufort, Holden Beach and Cape Lookout National Seashore.

Coves, Coastlines and Ceilidhs. A trip to Nova Scotia is one we will take again. The Cabot Trail, Peggy’s Cove, the Fortress of Louisbourg were only part of the fun.

Our RV travel took us to three RV parks off Route 101 from Seaside to Pacific City, Tillamook, Newport and Florence. The magnificent views of the Oregon coast merit a leisurely pace.

Blue skies and red clay. Maritimes, music and mussels. The RV trip to Prince Edward Island is one we will make again.

We like to find quirky places to RV, as well as free and interesting attractions and activities.

We stayed at La Playa Bonita RV park in Puerto Penasco Mexico. Called Rocky Point by Americans, it is a growing tourist area and an easy Mexico RV trip.

How do you know where to find Quartzsite BLM dry camping? Many RVers trek to Quartzsite AZ to boondock in the desert. The BLM areas can be found surrounding the four corners of Quartzsite.

RI gets its share of small state jokes. But who gets the last laugh? Our Rhode Island RV travels were a great summer destination. Beaches,Tall Ships, music and seafood in the Ocean State.

Visit the North Dakota countryside that had such a major influence on famous past president. Roosevelt National Park offers hiking, wildlife, history and the charm of nearby Medora.

Choosing the RV home base is a major decision for fulltiming RVers. Here are the things to consider.

From Montrose to Ouray to Silverton and Telluride, we enjoyed southwest Colorado RV travel. On foot and by car we saw the San Juan Mts, Uncompahgre Forest. Or try a jeep, bicycle, horse or ATV.

We found a bunch of colorful adventures along the road in southwest Utah. We got to hike the Wave, and were impressed with the Vermillion Cliffs, Coral Pink Sand Dunes and Paria Canyon.

Our Texas RV trip has taken us to two Thousand Trails parks, on a tour of the Livingston Escapees park, to San Antonio and Bandera, Cowboy Capital of the World

Thousand Trails Orlando RV Park is actually south of Clermont and is very popular in winter. Two pools, activities and a large clubhouse make it an enjoyable place to spend time.
